Welcome, I am Taneesha Torres, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I specialize in trauma and women’s issues, helping people move from survival to healing and from self-doubt to confidence. My goal is to create a safe, genuine space where you can feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. I have worked in the field of mental health and substance abuse since 2009, and my experience has taken me through outpatient, inpatient, nonprofit, and private practice settings. Over the years, I have provided individual, family, and group therapy, and have led psychoeducational programs focused on helping others understand themselves and build healthy coping skills. In 2020, I opened my private practice, where I work primarily with adults, parents, and families. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, blending practical tools with deeper emotional insight to help you find clarity and healing. I also currently serve as the Manager of Clinical Services for a nonprofit organization, where I oversee program delivery and clinical operations that support staff, contractors, clients, and families in creating meaningful change. Whether you are managing stress, recovering from trauma, navigating family dynamics, or working through life transitions, therapy can be a space to reconnect with yourself and find balance. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you build self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and create lasting emotional wellness. In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about mentoring and developing new counselors. I provide supervision for LPC Associates and LCDC Interns, offering guidance that focuses on ethical decision-making, reflective practice, and confidence in applying theory to real-world clinical work. I believe growth begins with connection, when you feel safe, supported, and understood, real change can happen.
